Our practice is about:
-
A child is a member of many larger communities. Our hope at Babble & Bloom is to support those communities (family and caregivers) in growing their comfort and capacity for facilitating communication across all environments and experiences.
-
As therapists, we are a member of a larger unit of people that care for a child. “It takes a village” is a true statement for any and every child’s journey. We strive at Babble & Bloom to care for your child as if they were our own, and to actively involve caregivers in the process to yield success outside the clinic space.
-
Each child who joins the Babble & Bloom family is celebrated for their uniqueness and diversity. We, as a team, are dedicated to implementing neurodiverse practices and supporting your child’s overall development across domains.
-
As communication specialists, our hope at Babble & Bloom is to lead by example in openly communicating with all members of your child’s village. During sessions, we honor all forms of communication initiated by your child - to build on the success of interaction and rapport. Our goal is to ensure your child has access and the necessary support to communicate any and all messages for any and all purposes.
-
We know that growth happens in everyday events. Language opportunities are immense and plentiful in daily routines and play (a child’s “work”). We also know that children communicate about things that are motivating. Our team works to follow your child’s lead in building and expanding communication opportunities within play and interactions. In addition, we actively involve parents and caregivers to initiate communication opportunities in everyday activities to facilitate generalization and carryover in a manageable and sustainable fashion.
-
Quality intervention is rooted in research. Therapists at Babble & Bloom work diligently to implement therapeutic interventions that are supported by research and appropriate for your child. In addition, we tailor each approach to your child’s strengths and interests to facilitate a dynamic environment of curiosity, learning, and growth.
Meet Megan
Megan Babin, MS, CCC-SLP - Owner and Speech Language Pathologist
Megan graduated from the Speech & Hearing Sciences Department at the University of Washington. She started her career in an outpatient clinic and quickly transitioned to birth-to-three supports/therapy in Seattle, WA. In the past 16 years, she has worked in a variety of settings across four states, providing whole-child and collaborative speech-language therapy services to children and families. She has had the honor of working within several multi-disciplinary clinics throughout her career, which has helped guide her unique approach to supporting families holistically - with the understanding that supporting a child’s communication requires supporting a whole child’s body, regulation state, and social-emotional well-being. Megan is excited to venture out independently in her community in private practice - to focus on relationship-centered care, unique therapeutic approaches, and collaborative care suited to a family’s needs.
Megan maintains her American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and a license to practice in the state of Washington.
When she is not in the office, Megan loves to bake, explore the outdoors with her pups, foster kittens with the Blue Mountain Humane Society, travel, dance/sing in her kitchen, and volunteer on and off-stage with local community theater projects.

-

Lambic Michael

-

Fennel Rose
